North Atlantic Painting did a thorough and excellent job in painting the exterior of our old 1858 house in Maine. They carefully sanded and repaired damaged clapboard. The painters matched the previous paint for the white wood siding and dark green exterior doors, so that the finished house looked so much brighter and cheerful. North Atlantic Painting staff went out of their way to schedule the painting in a break before our summer renters arrived. Despite some extra work that we requested, the painting was finished as planned in time for renters. North Atlantic Painting staff were all friendly and easy to work with, and their work excellent.

North Atlantic does a fantastic job--they are professional, courteous, understanding around the needs of a business and very considerate around how they deliver their services without bothering the inhabitants of the house, and they do a great job at scraping and re-painting historic structures. Our first project was challenging interior work that included their complete floor to ceiling transformation of multiple rooms and the staircase of our 1840’s home. We manage a large farm/estate, and this is our first year working with North Atlantic. We have had a long list of projects that our crew had not been able to complete (exterior trim repair, deck staining, building painting, building washing, etc.). They came in and performed multiple carpentry and painting tasks quickly, professionally, and of the highest quality. North Atlantic undertook an extensive remodeling project at our new home. The carpenters and painters were all skilled and very professional. Quality of their work was excellent. The subs (electrical, plumbing, cabinets, tile, etc.) were all excellent and well-managed by Peter and Nicole. We love our home and couldn't be happier! Also, Peter is a "wicked nice" guy and was great to collaborate with.

I contracted with North Atlantic Painting to repaint the trim and wood gutters of our house. Also to refinish our Black Locust wood deck. The hardwood deck was particularly challenging because it was so severely weathered.

The crew was headed up by Ian, a most professional and polite person. He listened to my concerns and accommodated therm where possible. The whole crew was great. They were neat, precise and did an excellent paint job on the trim and gutters.

Because of its condition the hardwood deck required a lot of work. After stripping and brightening the wood, it was hand sanded. Then a transparent stain recommended by North Atlantic was applied and rubbed in. A second coat of stain was applied a few months later. The deck came out beautiful! Better than I would have ever thought.

Nicole, who was my main contact at the front office, was always wanting to accommodate and quick to respond to any concerns I had. She was knowledgable in all aspects of my job making things run smoothly.

I had never used North Atlantic Painting. Initially, I spoke with Peter, the owner. Easy to talk to and listened to my thoughts on the job. He freely made recommendations on my project. I liked his thoughts of how to deal with the severely weathered deck. He reassured me I would be happy with the results. This is why I chose Peter and North Atlantic.

Exterior painting, Wood staining

Ian, Dave and Troy just finished a 2 1/2 week project repainting all our exterior siding and trim(including massive amounts of soffits) They were professional, effcient and extreamly careful with clean up and hitting all areas. A great job that we are very pleased with!!!
